Dr. Ken Goldman’s Story
Dr Ken Goldman’s Story
Picture this: a healthy and athletic teenager limping his way down the sidewalk to the front door of his martial arts school. The year was 1986. At this point he hadn’t yetlearned the benefits of chiropractic care.
“I remember being confused and a bit annoyed when my fellow martial arts students told me I was limping. They said that I must have been injured during training. But because I didn’t feel any pain whatsoever, I thought that I was fine.” says Dr Goldman.
When the limp didn’t go away, Dr Goldman sought help from an “old-time” chiropractic doctor in Philadelphia. After getting such good results from chiropractic care, Dr Goldman set his sights on becoming a chiropractor.
“I embraced chiropractic,” continues Dr Goldman, “because I was raised in a family that prioritized education and a healthy lifestyle. I wanted to help people through natural means, and chiropractic fit right in.”
Dr Goldman began his chiropractic education with his pre-chiropractic requirements at the University of Delaware. There his studies emphasized the basic science courses such as chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses.
After completing his course of study there, he was accepted at Pennsylvania College of Chiropractic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During his ten semesters of studies at Pennsylvania College, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, x-ray, diagnosis, philosophy, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Pennsylvania College Clinic.
“Each year,” continues Dr Goldman, “the staff and I attend various seminars to keep up with the latest in the latest research and newest developments in the chiropractic profession and in wellness. That keeps our skills in top form.”
Over the years he has completed courses in chiropractic research, core-strengthening, extremity adjusting, physical rehabilitation, MRI, x-ray, orthotics, myofascial release, nutrition, sports injuries and special care for pregnant women and children.
“I smile when I see hope restored to my patients, and again when I witness amazing healing accomplished the safe and natural way. It makes my day when I see a patient begin to pursue superior health. I absolutely love to see patients begin to take responsibility for their own health and the health of their families.” says Dr Goldman.
Dr. Goldman has been happily married to his wife, Laura, since 1996. Since then his family has grown to include 4 children: Rachel, Shauna, Gabrielle and Joshua. When he’s not “playing” doctor at the office he’s usually playing horsey or hide-and-seek at home with his kids. Dr Goldman and Laura decided to homeschool their children, which keeps them (especially Laura) quite busy.
In his free time, Dr Goldman enjoys guitar, martial arts, board games, reading, running, working out and discussing philosophy. He and his family attend a local church, called Calvary Chapel.
“I firmly believe,” continues Dr Goldman “that a loving God made our bodies. He gave them the ability to do so many marvelous things. He has surely given our bodies the ability to heal. This is why patients get better under my care.”
“I consider myself an excellent listener and hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenge. Give our office a call or email me so we can help you take your first step towards better health.”
